Sablon

Sablon is a pine resin vase exploiting the different qualities of the raw resin: Impermeability, translucidity and its ability to imprint the aspect of surface of the material in which it is shaped. After various moulding trials with materials harvested on site, I was interested in beach sand from Porge which has a singular granulometry. The smooth interior was obtained thanks to the technical casting. The differences in surface qualities between the interior and the exterior allow the user to appreciate the surface work.
